Wrong choice
It takes us roughly 17 minutes to count a thousand 1 dollar bills
( assuming we flip the bill every 1 second). Just how much is a million? And a billion?
A 40-year old man was convicted of murder and was asked by the judge to choose his punishment - life imprisonment or count the 1 billion dollar bills at national treasurer's vault after which he can regain his freedom. The man opted for the billion count. Did he make the right choice ?

The man made the wrong choice. It would have taken him 32 years to count 1 billion 1 dollar bills non-stop , 24 hours a day. If he spent half a day counting doing nothing else, he will finish in 64 years. He would have been dead at 104 anyways so life imprisonment was a better option.
It will take us 12 days non stop to count 1 million bucks of 1 dollar bills!
